Dr. Wung has directed the well-attended annual conferences on “Respiratory Care of the Newborn - A Practical Approach” at Columbia University Medical Center since 1988. He is often invited for visiting professorships and has delivered more than 200 lectures on neonatal respiratory care in more than 20 countries. He is also the recipient of several awards. In 2013, Dr. Wung was honored in the “Neonatology Hall of Fame,” which was established to honor remarkable individuals whose efforts have positively impacted the care of critically ill neonates.

Dr. Wung’s major expertises include: Bubble Nasal CPAP therapy, Gentler and kinder mechanical ventilation and NAVA, Management of infants with PPHN. Using continuous nebulization of iloprost for PPHN unresponsive to Inhaled Nitric Oxide, Treatment of infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, Laryngeal mask airway (LMA) for infant with Pierre Robin sequence, and Technique of one-lung ventilation in neonates.
