Jegan Krishnan MBBS, FRACS, PhD

Professor Jeganath Krishnan, MBBS, FRACS, PhD is the Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery, Flinders University and Senior Clinical Director of The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Flinders Medical Center and Repatriation General Hospital. His subspecialty is in Hand and Upper Limb Surgery. His keen interest is in developing and organising training of orthopaedic surgeons in countries such as India, China and Africa, where he is involved in lecturing, live surgeries and workshops. He is involved in curriculum development in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Rwanda with Specialists Without Borders.

Professor Krishnan is Director of the Orthopaedic Research Team and is involved in clinical trials of new implants. He is a keen educator and since taking over the Directorship has commenced rebuilding the Research Department involving recruiting of higher degree students
