Jeffrey Schwimmer MD

Jeffrey Schwimmer, M.D., is a Professor of Pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine and the Director of the Fatty Liver Clinic at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego. Dr. Schwimmer is a pediatric gastroenterologist with a clinical practice focused on fatty liver disease and childhood obesity. Dr. Schwimmer’s research on pediatric nonalcoholic fatty liver disease addresses epidemiology, diagnosis, pathogenesis, and therapy. Dr. Schwimmer teaches the clinical application of pediatrics as well as the subspecialty of pediatric gastroenterology to medical students, residents, and fellows through core courses, clinical rotations, and electives.
