Dr. Bytomski received his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University in 1993. He graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998. From there, he completed his family medicine training at Phoenix Baptist Hospital in 2001 where he served as Chief Resident from 2000-2001. Following residency, Dr. Bytomski served as the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellow at Duke University from 2001-2002. He is a member of the NFLPA Mackey-White Mild Traumatic Brain Injury committee since 2009. He is a Certified ImPACT Consultant and offers baseline ImPACT tests for athletes. Additionally, he helps coordinate the Duke Sports Concussion Clinic.
His clinical interests include non-operative musculoskeletal medicine as well as medical issues in athletes including concussions and post-concussion syndrome. He also performs musculoskeletal ultrasound evaluations and injections and has been an invited speaker at musculoskeletal ultrasound courses nationally. He performs compartment pressure testing for evaluation of chronic exertional compartment syndrome.
