Jeffrey Lancaster MBChB, FRCS(ENT), FRCS

Mr Jeffrey Lancaster MB.ChB.FRCS(ENT).FRCS (OTOL.HNS) was appointed as a consultant Head & Neck surgeon in 2006 at the University Hospital Aintree. Prior to this he attained his medical degree from Liverpool University in 1993 and did all of his post graduate training in the North West of England before entering the specialist registrar for Otolaryngology in 2005. He has a general head and neck practice encompassing all benign and malignant conditions of the upper aero-digestive tract including thyroid and salivary gland pathologies. He has developed a sub-specialist interest in trans-oral laser resections of head and neck malignancies and is on the faculty of the RCS trans-oral laser surgery course held annually in Liverpool. This allows tumours to be removed through the mouth avoiding the need for complicated open surgical reconstructions and ultimately speeding up patients' recovery time with better long term function.
