Jeffrey Eaton is a professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Dell Medical School, and he specializes in hospital medicine. He works with Seton Total Health Partners as an extensivist and as the medical director at Deer Creek of Wimberley Skilled Nursing Facility. Eaton spends his time developing curricula and other educational materials. His commitment to the school is evident as he actively participates in the Discharge Rounds QI Project to create an interdisciplinary daily discharge meeting to focus on throughput and safe discharges.
Many see his interest in improvements in systems that help in delivery of optimal care to patients. His organizing and implementation of simulation programs for residents proves his interests and dedication in teaching the trainees. Currently, Eaton is still the lead writer and proctor of code case simulation and co-creator and proctor of arrhythmia and central line simulations, to name a few. He completed his bachelor’s degree in biology from The University of Texas at Austin and completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
