Jeffrey Hanson MPH

Mr. Jeff Hanson is responsible for crafting, executing, and coordinating Truven Health Analytics' cross-market activities including performance measurement, pay for performance, and value-based health initiatives including patient-centered medical home. Mr. Hanson’s responsibilities at Truven Health Analytics are business-wide – encompassing cross-stakeholder approaches that leverage assets and capabilities across the company. He has over 25 years of experience spanning the various stakeholders in healthcare including employers, health plans, Medicaid, and hospitals. Prior to joining Truven Health Analytics, Mr. Hanson served as a Regional Healthcare Manager, Benefits Strategy and Design at Verizon Communications. In this role, he represented Verizon in national forums, at speaking engagements, and on boards including Leapfrog Group, Bridges to Excellence (past president), eHI Employer Advisory Board, HIMSS SunShine Executive Advisory Board, and the NY Business Group on Health. Mr. Hanson is a familiar name and face in numerous local, regional, and national speaking engagements across the country, focusing on provider performance measurement, P4P, and multi-stakeholder collaboratives. He has also presented on pay for performance before various groups on Capitol Hill. Mr. Hanson holds bachelor’s degrees in Management and Biology from Virginia Tech and an MPH in Health Policy and Administration from the University of California – Berkeley.
