Jeffrey Givand PhD

Jeffrey Givand, Ph.D. is currently a Director within the Device Development group at Merck with responsibilities for developing and commercializing the device constituent of novel drug-device combination products. Jeff has experience with products ranging from pre-filled syringes and syringe safety devices, to pen and auto-injectors, inhalers, intradermal patches, and novel implantation devices.

Jeff began his career at Merck in the pharmaceutical R&D area performing formulation and process development activities for solid oral dosage forms. He led a variety of products through mid- and late-stage clinical development, as well as commercial-scale development, technology transfer, and launch readiness, including preparation of the relevant CMC sections of worldwide regulatory submissions. Jeff earned his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia, as well as his master's and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech.
