Dr. Mott received his Doctor of Health Science at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Prior to joining the HSC at Fort Worth, Dr. Mott trained military physician assistants and physicians in prehospital medicine as an Army civilian DoD employee. He served in the US Army for 25 years where his awards include a Bronze Star Medal for actions in combat while serving in Iraq, and the Combat Medic Badge for action in Afghanistan. He has 8 years of combined experience in orthopedics, including a one-year fellowship, and is the course director for the musculoskeletal, geriatric, and senior seminar courses. Since retiring from the Army, he and his wife of many years stay busy raising their two young daughters.
