Jeffrey B. Matthews MD

Jeffrey B. Matthews, MD, Dallas B. Phemister Professor of Surgery and chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of Chicago Medicine, has been named president-elect of the Chicago Surgical Society.

Dr. Matthews has held several leadership positions during his distinguished career. Currently, he serves as senior director of the American Board of Surgery and president of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
