Jeffrey Arnold MD

Dr. Jeffrey Arnold has served as the Chief Medical Officer of the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System in Santa Clara County since 2012. With an annual budget of SCVHHS is the second largest county-owned- owned public health and hospital system in California. SCVHHS includes Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. ten geographically dispersed community health centers, a large behavioral health department, and a health plan with 200,000 delegated and assigned lives. SCVHHS also includes public health, EMS, and custody health services in two county jails and juvenile hall.

Dr. Arnold has served in several physician leadership roles in health care, including Medical Director of the Yale New Haven Center for Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response, Interim CMO at Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, CA, Chair and Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Director on the Board of Directors of California Emergency Physicians America and was a practicing emergency physician for 21 years. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in emergency medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center
