Jeff Solheim, MSN, RN, CEN, TCRN, CFRN, FAEN, FAAN, is the Immediate Past President of the Emergency Nurses Association Board of Directors. He is in his sixth year on the board. Solheim has spent nearly his entire career in emergency nursing, holding various positions such as staff nurse, charge nurse, manager, director, educator, trauma coordinator, flight nurse, and staff surveyor. He founded Solheim Enterprises which provides nursing education, educational resources and consulting services. Solheim is the founder and emeritus executive director of a humanitarian medical organization that deploys medical teams around the world to provide care to thousands of people every year.

Solheim has served numerous roles within ENA at the local, state, national and international levels over the years, including chapter founder and president; state president; and pediatric/trauma chairperson at the state level. Solheim has served as an instructor and faculty for ENA’s two signature courses, ENPC and TNCC; participated as international faculty for these courses; and worked as a member of dissemination teams which helped with independent offerings of the courses in Australia and the United Arab Emirates. Solheim served as chairperson for the 2013 ENA Annual Leadership Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Solheim is a Fellow of the Academy of Emergency Nursing and the American Academy of Nursing.

Solheim graduated with his diploma in nursing from Medicine Hat College in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He later went on to earn his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Western Governor’s University. Solheim maintains certification in emergency nursing, trauma nursing, and flight nursing.
