Jeff Ellsworth BS, PhD

Jeff Ellsworth is an Innovative executive scientist with over 23 years of research and management experience in the research and development of small molecule, biologic, and nucleic acid-based therapeutics. He has a broad scientific background in lysosomal storage disorders, primary immunodeficiencies, rare genetic diseases, cardiovascular/metabolic disease, coagulation disorders, autoimmunity, inflammation, osteoarthritis, pharmacology, cancer, and gene therapy. Currently, Dr. Ellsworth is the Senior Director of External Sciences at Homology Medicines, Inc., a genetic medicines start-up company focusing on AAV-mediated gene editing for treatment of rare genetic diseases. He is also chair of the IBC and IACUC comittees at HMI.
