Jeanne Lee, MD, is a board-certified surgeon. She focuses her care on individuals who have experienced traumatic injury, such as a motor vehicle collision or severe burn injury. As director of the Burn Center at UC San Diego Health, Dr. Lee provides clinical and administrative leadership for the burn program, including education, research, community outreach, and policies and procedures specifying all aspects of care for burn patients. Dr. Lee's research interests include improving outcomes for trauma patients through technology and efficient exchange of medical information during ambulance or air transport to the trauma center.
As an associate professor in the Department of Surgery, Dr. Lee is involved in training surgeons during their fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine and a residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Lee earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She is certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. Dr. Lee is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
