Jean-pierre Albouy DDS, MS, PhD

Dr. Jean-Pierre Albouy, DDS, MS, PhD, has joined the UNC-CH Adams School of Dentistry’s Department of Restorative Sciences Division of Prosthodontics as a full-time assistant professor. Albouy’s responsibilities as an assistant professor include teaching prosthodontics, working in the clinics, and seeing patients at the Dental Faculty Practice. His research interests comprise biomaterials, digital dentistry, esthetics, tissue interface, inflammation, and patient-centered research.

Albouy earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the School of Dentistry in Montpellier, France. He completed a master's certificate in medical and biological sciences from the Medical School in Montpellier, France, and received his specialty certification in prosthodontics from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He completed post-graduate studies in fixed prosthodontics at the Dental School at University Paris VII and received his PhD in periodontology from the Sahlgrenska Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden.
