Dr. Jean-Philippe Collet is a Professor of Cardiology at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital (APHP) where he leads the interventional catheterization unit (PCI and TAVI). He is also the director of the Cardiovascular Training Program at Sorbonne Université.
Dr. Collet's main expertise is in the field of thrombosis, the effect of antithrombotic agents, and the development of new devices for structural heart intervention. He is a member and a founder of the Academic Research Organisation A.C.T.I.O.N (Alliés in Cardiovascular Trials, Initiatives, and Organized Networks) (www.action-coeur.org).
Dr. Collet has led clinical trials as a principal investigator (AMERICA, DOSAPI, ARCTIC, and ATLANTIS). He has several commitments in the ESC. He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, a member of the nucleus of the WG Thrombosis, and a member of the Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee.
Dr. Collet has served as the Chair of the EAPCI scientific program for two years and is now co-chairing the upcoming guidelines on NSTE-ACS.
