Jean-Claude Deharo is a French cardiologist, electrophysiology specialist, Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology. He is a Professor of Cardiology at Marseilles Medical School, Aix Marseille Universite. He is head of the arrhythmia department of La Timone University Hospital of Marseilles, a tertiary referral center that offers full access to clinical and laboratory testing of cardiac arrhythmias. He has been involved in various ESC and EHRA guidelines and consensus documents.
He has a particular interest in cardiac electrophysiology research in the fields of syncope, lead extraction, and clinical electrophysiology. He was president of the French working group on arrhythmia 2011-2013, he is currently a member of the Board of the French Society of Cardiology and a member of the Education Committee of the European Heart Rhythm Association.
