Dr. Hefner is a general internist currently serving as the Chief of Medicine at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH). She is the Chair of Quality and Patient Safety for Harvard Medical School’s (HMS) Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Hefner is also an Associate Physician in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Hefner is a graduate of the Mass General Physician Organization (MGPO) Leadership Course and the MGPO Capstone Process Improvement Award. She is a graduate of the Partners Healthcare System (PHS) Clinical Process Improvement Program (CPIP). Dr. Hefner is the founder, co-director and faculty member of the Partners Continuing Care (PCC) Collaborative Learning Improvement Program (CLIP).
