Jayant Aphale PhD, MBA

Jayant Aphale, Ph.D., MBA, has served as Sarepta’s Senior Vice President, Technical Operations since December 2011. Jayant leads Sarepta’s long range manufacturing strategy, internal platform process development, external scale up, strategic manufacturing asset acquisitions, and design and implementation of Sarepta’s global supply chain operations. Additionally, Jayant is accountable for the CMC section of regulatory filings as well successful CMC interactions with regulatory agencies. Jayant’s operations and manufacturing strategy experiences cover the biologics, vaccine and synthetic oligonucleotide space.

In addition to advising and implementing solutions with senior operations management at large biotech & vaccine companies, Jayant has hand on operations experiences working at large, mid and small-sized organizations within the clinical and commercial spaces, as well has worked at a top tier CMO.

Dr. Aphale received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from The Ohio State University in 1992, a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Strategy from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2002, is a certified project manager (PMP) as well as holds the U.S. regulatory affairs certification (RAC).
