Jay Wohlgemuth BA, MD

Dr. Wohlgemuth, the former Chief Scientific Officer and SVP of R&D and Medical at Quest Diagnostics, is passionate about the power of data to improve decisions impacting everyone’s health and well-being. He has devoted his career to giving patients and doctors access to relevant information that can help them live longer, healthier, and happier lives. Dr. Wohlgemuth — who was named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum in Davos — earned his bachelor’s degree at Harvard and his M.D. and Cardiovascular Medicine specialty training at Stanford. He has deep experience in healthcare research and new product development.
Among other accomplishments, Dr. Wohlgemuth led all test development efforts and oversaw major partnerships in healthcare at Quest Diagnostics, ran companion diagnostics and drug development programs at Genentech, and was a co-founder and head of R&D and medical for CareDx, which developed and commercialized first-of-its-kind molecular testing for transplant recipients that reduces the need for invasive biopsies and is now a standard of care around the world.
