Jason O. Holcomb, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in shoulder and elbow disorders. His primary interest is in rotator cuff disease, arthritis, sports injuries, and fracture repair. He uses nonsurgical and surgical treatments to improve function, reduce pain, and restore an active lifestyle.

Dr. Holcomb earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis in 1997. His training then continued at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center where he earned his medical degree. A yearlong internship in general surgery at Vanderbilt University prepared him for residency in orthopedic surgery at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. He completed his formal training in 2008 after a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at Florida Orthopaedic Institute. He remains an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon, and the Michigan Orthopaedic Society.

Before joining Birmingham Integrowth Orthopedics, Dr. Holcomb worked at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital for eleven years, where he became a respected member of the community. In addition, he has been a member of the faculty of the Detroit Medical Center Sports Fellowship program since 2008. He continues to serve our veterans at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center where he has been a member of the faculty since 2010.
