Jason Klein is an MD/PhD dermatologist interested in applying advances in genomic technology to improve our understanding of the evolution and treatment of skin cancers. He is currently completing a Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and will be starting as an Assistant Professor in Dermatology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in summer 2025.

Klein completed his MD and PhD at the University of Washington. He worked in the lab of Jay Shendure, developing methods to study the role of gene regulation in evolution and disease, and spent a year with Gary Hon studying single-cell genomic technologies. His lab will focus on using the role of gene regulation in the development, prognosis, and treatment of rare skin cancers. Outside of his studies, he is an avid triathlete and marathoner.
