Jason Hsieh MD, MS

Dr. Jason Hsieh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He is a board-certified neurosurgeon with specialized expertise in functional neurosurgery and epilepsy surgery.

Dr. Hsieh earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and also holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency training in neurological surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, followed by advanced fellowship training in functional and epilepsy surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

His clinical practice focuses on the surgical management of epilepsy, movement disorders, and other complex neurosurgical conditions. Dr. Hsieh’s research integrates neuroengineering approaches with intracranial electrophysiology and advanced brain imaging to better understand cognition, language, and memory, and to develop innovative, translational treatments for patients with epilepsy and related neurological disorders.
