Dr. Jason Klapman is a gastroenterologist and medical director of Endoscopy in the Gastrointestinal Oncology Department at Moffitt Cancer Center. He is an associate professor of oncology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Klapman’s research and clinical interests include endoscopic-ultrasound (EUS) fine needle aspiration for mediastinal and GI neoplasms, including pancreatic cysts and tumors; endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography; enternal stenting; EUS-guided celiac plexus neurolysis; endoscopic mucosal resection; cryoablation and radiofrequency ablation for Barrett's esophagus. Dr. Klapman received his medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School.

Jason completed a residency in internal medicine at Rush University, Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, where he was chief resident his last year. Dr. Klapman pursued additional training through a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Chicago and an interventional endoscopy fellowship at University of California at Irvine Medical Center. Dr. Klapman is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Florida Gastroenterologic Society and American College of Gastroenterology. He is widely published, including peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and educational DVDs.
