Dr. Jason Abbott is a Professor at the University of New South Wales having completed his Ph.D. on the surgical treatment of endometriosis. He is the Presidente of AGES 2017-2019, Senior Editor of the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynaecology, Associate Editor for Human Reproduction and ANZJOG and the director of the GRACE Unit at Royal Hospital for Women. He is the Medical Director of Endometriosis Australia, a charitable organization that has championed this disease and been a leader in the first national action plan on a disease (endometriosis) in this country. He is on the Federal Governments Endometriosis Advisory Committee, Chairs the MRFF funded National Endometriosis Clinical and Scientific Trials (NECST) Network and advises on the medicare review committee for endometriosis and the Heavy Menstrual Bleeding group for the government. Jason has published more than 120 peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and texts. He currently supervises 3 Ph.D. and 2 masters students.
