Jasmeet Soar BA, MA, MB-BChir, FRCA, FFICM, FRCP, FERC

Jas Soar has been involved with the RC (UK) since 2000. He has had numerous roles and responsibilities including Chair (2009-2012), Vice-Chair (2007-2009, 2012-2013), ILS Subcommittee Chair from 2004 to 2016, and Guidelines 2015 Working Group Chair. He currently chairs the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Subcommittee and the Quality Standards Working Group, as well as membership of the CARe and Research and Development Subcommittees.

Jas has had roles in the development of both the iResus and Lifesaver apps. Jas also has a number of national and international resuscitation roles. He is an Editor for the journal Resuscitation, ALS Co-chair for the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), and ALS Task Force Chair for the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). He works as a consultant in anaesthetics and intensive care medicine at Southmead Hospital, Bristol.
