Jascha Repp PhD

Jascha Repp is professor in Physics since 2007 at the University of Regensburg. His research focus is on low-temperature scanning probe microscopy and spectroscopy with special emphasis on scanning-probe-based single-molecule manipulation and electronics.

Jascha Repp received his PhD from the Free University in Berlin in 2002. Afterwards, he joined the group of Dr. Gerhard Meyer at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratories, where he worked as a PostDoc for five years. Since 2007 he holds a Lichtenberg Professorship at the University of Regensburg.

His diploma thesis has been awarded from the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus-Stiftung. He received the Ernst-Reuter-Preis for an outstanding PhD thesis and in 2005 he received an Outstanding Technical Achievement Award from IBM Research. Together with Dr. Leo Gross and Dr. Gerhard Meyer he has been awarded the 2012 Feynman Prize for Experimental work.
