Janis E. Blair, M.D., is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Dr. Blair also serves as Director of the Mayo Clinic Coccidioidomycosis Program. She joined the staff of the Mayo Clinic in 1993.

Dr. Blair earned her B.A. from Point Loma College and her medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. She trained in Internal Medicine at Los Angeles County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and further completed an Infectious Disease fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester.

In addition to her clinical and research activities, Dr. Blair is active in education, including curriculum and course development. She also provides mentorship to many medical students, residents, and fellows, among others.

Dr. Blair specializes in coccidioidomycosis and has treated hundreds of patients with coccidioidomycosis. She has been active in clinical and translational coccidioidomycosis research and has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on coccidioidomycosis and presents locally and internationally on her expertise.
