Dr. Janet Wei, MD, is a cardiologist with the Barbra Streisand Women's Heart Center at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. Dr. Wei is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases and treats persistent chest pain, microvascular dysfunction, atherosclerosis, hypertension, high cholesterol, and heart failure.

Dr. Wei received her medical degree from Northwestern University and completed her internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai. She remained at Cedars-Sinai for her general cardiology fellowship and was a Chief Cardiology Fellow in 2012-2013. She completed an additional year of advanced training in women’s heart disease as the 2013-2014 Constance Austin Women’s Heart Fellow at the Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center.

Dr. Wei’s research interests include women and heart disease, the role of cardiac imaging in the evaluation of coronary microvascular dysfunction, and noninvasive imaging of atherosclerosis. She is enrolled in the National Institutes of Health (NIH)-sponsored T32 Advanced Heart Disease Research program at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. She has co-authored several articles published in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at national cardiology conferences.
