Janet A. Fairley MD, FAAD

Janet A. Fairley, M.D. is the John S. Strauss Professor and Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the University of Iowa. Dr. Fairley completed medical school, residency training and a research fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Fairley’s interests include autoimmune skin diseases, calcifying disorders of the skin and cutaneous manifestations of systemic illness. She has published over 110 articles and book chapters. Dr. Fairley is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society for Investigative Dermatology, for which she serves as a member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Fairley is also a director of the American Board of Dermatology, a member of the Executive Committee of the Dermatology Foundation and the board of directors of the American Dermatological Association. Dr. Fairley is the current President of the Medical Dermatology Society.
