Jane Winter MD

Dr. Jane N. Winter is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, at Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, and a member of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Following internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago, she completed fellowships in hematology/oncology at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York and Northwestern University in Chicago. She is board certified in both Hematology and Medical Oncology. Dr. Winter has been a member of the Northwestern faculty since completing the fellowship.

Dr. Winter’s clinical and research interests focus on malignant lymphomas (both Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin), particularly the development of novel therapies and the investigation of clinical and biological correlates of prognosis. She was President of the American Society of Hematology for 2022, having had many leadership roles in the society including Councilor and Chair of the Committee on Educational Affairs. Dr. Winter recently completed a six-year term as a member of the NCI’s Lymphoma Steering Committee and is a long-standing member and previous co-chair of the Lymphoma Steering Committee for the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group. She served a six-year term as a member of the Hematology Subspecialty Board of the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Hodgkin Lymphoma Guidelines Committee since its inception. She was the 2020 recipient of the Paula H. Stern Award for Outstanding Women in Medicine and Science.
