Dr Mortimer is a Clinical Psychologist in the School of Psychology at the University of Adelaide, South Australia. She is a former Registered Nurse who has a keen interest in Psychosocial Genomics and is one of the authors of the Creative Psychosocial Genomic and Healing Experience Protocol with Professors Rossi and Iannotti. She has a particular interest in examining the potential relationship between Professor Rossi and Iannotti’s mind body therapy, novel biochemical markers, epigenetics and survival in cancer patients and others who are undergoing stressful life transitions. She is a former chair of the College of Clinical Psychologists in South Australia. She has specialist postdoctoral training from Stanford University, Department of Psychiatry, Stanford School of Medicine, USA in the field of psycho-neuroimmunology, evaluating biochemical markers of inflammation before and after counseling interventions.
