Dr. Jane Limmer, M.D., is an obstetrician-gynecologist at VCU Health and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She provides comprehensive women’s health care, supporting patients through all stages of reproductive life—from routine gynecologic care and pregnancy to menopause management. Dr. Limmer earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Duke University School of Medicine, where she served as administrative chief resident. She also holds an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College.

A board-certified OB-GYN and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Limmer is also a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, with a particular focus on perimenopause and menopause care. Her clinical work includes guiding patients through pregnancy and postpartum care, managing complex contraceptive needs, and performing minimally invasive procedures to treat conditions that may contribute to infertility or pregnancy loss. Before joining VCU Health, Dr. Limmer practiced in Colorado, where she received multiple teaching honors, including the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics Excellence Teaching Award and the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology National Faculty Award. In addition to her clinical practice, she is passionate about mentoring medical trainees and advancing women’s health education.
