Jan-maximilian Zeller

Dr. Jan-Maximilian Zeller studied law at the University of Cologne. After completing his studies, he worked as a freelancer for the renowned Cologne criminal defense attorney Dr. Birkenstock active. He then worked for years as a research assistant at the Institute for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law at the University of Cologne, with a focus on (commercial) criminal law. dr hc Martin Wassmer also did his doctorate on a criminal law topic.

During his legal traineeship, Dr. Zeller completed the legal and electoral station in the law firm Gercke & Wollschläger in Cologne. After completing the second state law examination and being admitted to the bar, he founded his first (criminal) law firm with a colleague. Since 2015 he has been a partner in a renowned Cologne construction law firm, where he founded the criminal law department.

dr In addition to his practical work as a lawyer, Zeller also feels a special connection to science and teaching. He has already held teaching assignments for tutoring at the University of Cologne in criminal law. Since the summer semester of 2019, he has been a lecturer there for (foreign) criminal law. He is also a guest lecturer in commercial criminal law at the Technical University of Cologne. Dr. also taught abroad. Zeller already. Dr. Zeller is a member of the Cologne Lawyers' Association e. V. (KAV) and in the German Lawyers' Association e. V. (DAV), they're also in the criminal law working group. He is also a member of the Economic Criminal Law Association e. V.(WisteV) and the Association for the Promotion of the Institute for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law at the University of Cologne. He's the auditor there. dr Zeller is also active on the advisory board of the Refugee Law Clinic Cologne (RLCC) and as a regional councilor of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs association.
