Jan Maarten Wit MD, PhD

Jan M Wit is an Emeritus professor of pediatrics, at Leiden University Medical Center. He was trained as a pediatric endocrinologist in Rotterdam, worked for 3 years as a general pediatrician in Dominica (West Indies), then 13 years as an associate professor of pediatric endocrinology in Utrecht, and from 1994-2006 as a professor of pediatrics and chair in Leiden. Currently, the main focus of his research is the genetics of growth.
