Jan Dugas

Jan formed Clinical Research & Compliance Consulting LLC to help medical device, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies achieve successful clinical outcomes. Working with medical leaders, Jan’s calm yet focused leadership has led to increased efficiency and decreased time to market while ensuring product safety and efficacy remain at the forefront. Skilled at working effectively in high pressure, high urgency situations, Jan is known as a change agent who is as comfortable with the ambiguity of a start-up as she is with the complexity of an international corporation.

Jan has more than 25 years of clinical research experience, beginning as a clinical site coordinator and most recently, she served as Vice President of Clinical, Regulatory and Quality. Jan has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of clinical trials. In addition, she developed the first clinical compliance organization for a large international medical device company and has implemented global regulatory policies and procedures, auditing and monitoring programs as well as educational programs.

Jan’s peers recognize her as a valued and loyal team member who is dedicated to continual process improvement that leads to successful business results. Her therapeutic areas of expertise include: cardiology/cardiovascular, diabetes, gastroenterology, gynecology, metabolic, nephrology, neurology, obesity, oncology, orthopedics, pain, pulmonary/respiratory, transplant, urology, vascular, wound healing trials for adult/pediatrics/geriatrics clinical trials.

Jan attended Bethesda Medical Center Nursing School and Bethel University for business management, graduating with honors in both programs. When she’s not working or spending time with family, she finds time to mentor young professional women through the Twin Cities Women’s organizations.
