Jan Damoiseaux has been a laboratory specialist in Medical Immunology since 2002 and as such is responsible for the laboratory diagnosis of immune-mediated diseases. His career started in basic immunology and has been evaluated through animal models of autoimmune diseases to clinical immunological research. The research has mainly focused on immune regulation via cytokines and T-lymphocytes on the one hand and on testing for autoantibodies on the other. He is an active member of the College of Medical Immunologists (CMI), the European Autoantibody Standardization Initiative (EASI), and the International Consensus on ANA Patterns (ICAP) working group. He has published more than 200 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
