Jamieson Bourque, MD, is the medical director of nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and the stress laboratory. He treats patients with heart problems. Dr. Bourque earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his medical degree and residency at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He returned to the University of Virginia to complete a cardiology fellowship.
In addition to patient care, Bourque is also a professor of medicine and radiology at the University of Virginia. He is the president of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Cardiovascular Council and the president-elect of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
