James Warren Leiphart MD, PhD, FAANS, FACS

Dr. James W. Leiphart is board certified in neurological surgery and comes to Inova Medical Group with nine years of surgical and clinical experience. He has a special interest in the management of epilepsy and complex pain syndrome. Dr. Leiphart is Inova's Neurological Surgery Residency Program Director and serves the Department of Neurosciences at Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Medicine Inova Campus where he holds the title of Associate Professor. Dr. Leiphart chose to practice neurosurgery because there is so much potential to make a difference utilizing the surgical approach for patients dealing with complex brain disease.
