James Walter MD

James Walter, MD, is an American Board of Internal Medicine board-certified gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist at Einstein Healthcare Network. His clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and microscopic colitis. Dr. Walter incorporates the latest medical advancements and endoscopic (colonoscopy and upper GI endoscopy) techniques. He is active in Einstein’s clinical education and training mission as the Associate Program Director for the gastroenterology fellowship. Dr. Walter feels that a multifaceted and coordinated approach to patient care is crucial to deliver the highest-quality care. He actively listens to patients’ health concerns and strives to make patients feel comfortable with his care plan.
