James W. Tamas specializes in the treatment of pelvic venous insufficiency, multimodality treatment of liver tumors (primary and metastatic), and the treatment of deep vein thrombosis, including deep venous recanalization and reconstruction. Throughout training and clinical practice, he has held leadership roles, such as chief resident for Duke’s radiology department, and served on multiple in-hospital committees. He is also a published first author in The Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, the subspecialty’s premier academic journal.
