Dr. Jenkins earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock and completed an Internal Medicine fellowship and Cardiology fellowship at the University of Missouri Health Science Center in Columbia. He also completed an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. Dr. Jenkins is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions and Society for Vascular Medicine and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1994. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology and American Board of Vascular Medicine He specializes in Interventional Cardiology, including complex coronary and peripheral angioplasty, carotid stenting, percutaneous mitral and aortic valve interventions, brachytherapy, percutaneous ASD and PFO closure, and venous angioplasty and intervention. He is the Director of Interventional Cardiology Research, an active clinical researcher and has written numerous articles and chapters for scientific medical publications.
