Dr. James R. Padley is a Rural Career Mentor at the University of Adelaide. He received his Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sydney.
Padley has joined AMC as a rural GP/generalist registrar in his final stages of training with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). Before working as a GP, James spent several years in major teaching hospitals in Sydney and Adelaide and worked as a senior registrar in anesthetics and intensive care.
Recently, he has been working as a rural locum in emergency and medical roles, including 6 months with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Broken Hill, and previously spent time working in the remote Solomon Islands.
James has been a clinical educator with the Flinders University medical program since 2017. James’s interests include medical education, cardiovascular medicine, anesthetics, and preventative health care.
