James P. Nataro MD, PhD, MBA, FAAP

James P. Nataro, MD, PhD, MBA, is chair of the UVA Department of Pediatrics and holds the Benjamin Armistead Shepherd chair in pediatric medicine. He also serves as physician-in-chief for UVA Children’s Hospital, with a clinical focus on general pediatrics, and additional expertise in pediatric infectious diseases. Dr. Nataro’s research focuses on intestinal health, especially diseases of developing countries.
