James L. Buxbaum MD

Dr. James L. Buxbaum, MD, is a nationally recognized expert in advanced endoscopy and pancreatology, serving as an Associate Professor (Clinical Scholar) of Medicine and Executive Director of the Digestive Health Institute at Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles, California. He provides expert clinical care for complex gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary disorders and leads innovative research that bridges cutting-edge science with patient-centered practice.

Dr. Buxbaum is a leader in the field of advanced endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), and double balloon enteroscopy.
