James Fernandes MS (Orth), Mch (Orth), FRCS (Orth)

James is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Sheffield Children's NHS Trust and Barnsley District General Hospital delivering paediatric orthopaedics and limb reconstruction services including a special interest in foot and ankle surgery. His paediatric special interests are in limb reconstruction, congenital birth defects, DDH, CTEV, Skeletal dysplasias especially Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Perth's disease and post-traumatic deformities. Positions of additional responsibility: 2012-14 President-elect of the British Limb Reconstruction Society; 2011-13 Executive committee member British Society for Children's Orthopaedic Surgery; 2010 -14 Orthopaedic member and treasurer of the UK Skeletal dysplasia group executive committee; 2009 -12 Secretary of the British Limb Reconstruction Society; 2007 -09 Executive committee member of British Limb reconstruction society; 2008 - on-going, Examiner at the Intercollegiate Board examinations and an Expert to NICE, UK.
