James is currently working at BenevolentAI, working on – among other things – AI-enabled target identification. James has been at BenevolentAI for 2 years. Prior to that, he worked at Roche in Penzberg, Germany, researching structural and computational approaches to protein design. Prior to Roche, James worked at MedImmune in a short Postdoc position funded by the University of Oxford through an EPSRC Impact Acceleration Award. He was seconded to MedImmune with the objective of transferring tools developed during his Ph.D. into an industrial setting. James completed a Ph.D. in Structural Bioinformatics and a Masters Degree in Physica – both at the University of Oxford.
