James Deschner

Dr. James Deschner serves as the Director of the Department of Periodontology and Operative Dentistry University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany, where his work concentrates on patient treatment, research, and teaching. Dr. Deschner has worked at a variety of institutions around the world, serving as Assistant and Associate Professor, Dept. of Operative Dentistry and Periodontology, University of Cologne, Germany (1998-2002), Visiting Assistant Professor, Oral Biology, Ohio State University, USA (2003-2006) and Assistant Professor, Dept. of Periodontology, Operative and Preventive Dentistry, University of Bonn, Germany. Prior to commencing his current role at the Johannes Gutenberg University, Dr. Deschner was the Noel Martin Visiting Chair, University of Sydney, Australia.
