James D. Grant, M.D., a native Michiganian, is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his post graduate training at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology, completed his recertification in 2008 and is an associate examiner for the Board.
Dr. Grant has been on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) since 2002 and was elected as Assistant Treasurer of the 42,000-member organization in October 2006 and subsequently elected Treasurer in October 2010. In addition, he serves or has served on the ASA Administrative Council, Section on Fiscal Affairs, and various committees.
