Dr. James C. Barrow is an associate professor of pharmacology and molecular sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His research focuses the discovery of new drugs for disorders of neurodevelopment. Dr. Barrow received a B.S. in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Ph.D. from Harvard University. He then moved to the medicinal chemistry department at Merck Research Laboratories in West Point, working on a variety of drug discovery projects for cardiovascular and central nervous system disorders. Dr. Barrow has authored or co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in the field. He currently sits on the Editorial Advisory Board of the journal ACS Chemical Neuroscience.
